New Zealand ACC Sensitive Issue Claimants Support is a peer run, non-profit group dedicated to helping those who have been affected by sensitive issues and have had their ACC claims mishandled, denied or are confused about navigating the ACC system. Our mission is to provide support, resources, and advocacy for these and all sensitive issue claimants, with the goal of helping them to recover their rightful entitlements and regain full independence and health. We work with individuals to navigate the complex and often confusing world of ACC claims. Our team is passionate about seeking justice and self empowerment for those who have been unjustly treated by ACC and are committed to fighting for fair and just outcomes for all claimants.

• Legal Advice and Representation: This service provides claimants with access to legal experts who specialize in sensitive issue claims. They can offer advice, representation, and advocacy to help claimants navigate the complex ACC system and ensure their rights are protected.
• Peer Support Groups: These support groups bring together individuals who have experienced similar struggles with their ACC sensitive issue claims. They provide a safe and understanding space for claimants to share their experiences, receive emotional support, and learn from others. 

 New Zealand ACC Sensitive Issue Claimants Support was established in response to the injustice faced by sensitive issue claimants under the Accident Compensation Corporation .ACC. scheme. Sensitive issue claimants, who have suffered harm as a result of sexual abuse faced numerous barriers in accessing fair and adequate compensation from ACC. This led to a group of dedicated individuals coming together with the goal of advocating for the rights of these claimants and seeking justice for the harm they had suffered. Through years of advocacy and lobbying, we have made significant progress in bringing attention to the issues faced by sensitive issue claimants and fighting for their rights under the ACC scheme.

• Founding of the Support Group (2017): The New Zealand ACC Sensitive Issue Claimants Support group was founded by a group of dedicated individuals who saw the need for a support system for those who have been affected by the ACC sensitive claims process.
• Campaign for Policy Changes (2022): The support group has been actively campaigning for policy changes and advocating for the rights of sensitive issue claimants to receive fair and just treatment from the ACC. This includes lobbying for changes in legislation.
